Deck Man – MEDPORT Tangier (TM2) – Tangier

Poste:

  • Follow up on the correct loading of containers and HC on the vessel
  • Assist the RCC and report any anomalies on board to the Operation Supervisor
  • Act as person in charge when handling the Gondola

Accountabilities:

  • Act as person in charge when gondoling
  • Liaise with ships duty officer/vessel agent and advise planned “order of work” schedule for the vessel.
  • Ensure unplug is done timely for the reefers prior their discharge.
  • Ensure all hatch cover locking pins and lashing materials are removed prior to discharging hatch covers.
  • Use the RDT to confirm the load position and/or discharge unit while the OCR system is down.
  • Ensure the DSTS as well parked in their position while doing DSTS anchoring.
  • Check the special lashing is removed and containers are free to be discharged /loaded without any risk
  • Supervise the OOG and BB handling and report finding to the Operation Supervisor.
  • Personal contact with ships officers. (Unplug, damage reporting.)
  • Undertake any other duties within capabilities as directed by management

Automation Support – MEDPORT TANGIER (TM2) – Tanger

Poste:

Under guidance of the Shift Engineer, this position is responsible for maintenance of automation systems (PLC, measurement instrument, SCADA…) that are installed in all terminal equipment and ensures the works conform to the relevant specifications and standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Repair automation issues (breakdowns and abnormalities) of all terminal equipment
  • Evaluate the impact of automation issues and develop action plan
  • Perform diagnosis process fault related to automation issues with Operations and shift support

  • Perform diagnosis and predictive maintenance of measuring instruments of terminal equipment

Poste:

Support to manage all activities involved in maintaining the Security of the terminal,

Reefer Technician – MEDPORT TANGIER (TM2) (Tanger) – Tangier

Poste:

  • Performs trouble-shooting and repair services for refrigerated containers.
  • Perform the repair of any malfunction reefer on the vessel.
  • Perform the repair of any malfunction reefer in the yard.
  • Perform the PTI process requested by the customer of any reefer container.

Accountabilities:

  • Inspects the refrigerated containers (“reefers”) on board the vessel or in the yard  for any discrepancies between actual settings and the manifest requirements. Corrects discrepancies & clears alarms when appropriate.
  • Repairs a malfunctioning reefer in the workshop, including diagnosing problem and determining what repair work is necessary.
  • Calibrates reefer probes.
  • Reprograms reefer processor.
  • Dismounts compressor, opens unit, evacuates refrigerant from the unit prior to working on it, removes malfunctioning part(s), installs new part(s), and closes the unit.
  • Cleans compressor.
  • Processes and tests pre-trip inspections.
  • Reports any malfunctions reefer to the reefer supervisor on duty.
  • Reports any malfunctions reefer to the PCO if it is planned to be moved from the position or one of the units below the mention unit.
  • Records readings (temperature, humidity, ventilation) for specific reefers.
  • Plug/unplug the reefers in the Yard , Vessel, PTI and leaking area.
  • Mount and dismount the genset.
  • The key impact of these incumbents will be the maintenance of operational efficiencies in the terminal to ensure availability of equipment required for the execution of day to day operational activities.

  • Technician diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or with a Minimum of two years in a university or college with major in electricity or related fields.
  • Requires at least three to five years of prior work experience as a Reefer Technician or similar job that has proven experience in refrigeration that demonstrates an ability to follow instructions, and to perform repair and troubleshooting work for refrigeration units.

Quality Automation Test Lead – CDD – MEDPORT TANGIER (TM2) – Tangier

Poste:

This position is responsible to provide single point of testing management for performing Q&A testing on the terminal to different internal costumers.

The Quality Manager will manage and coordinate the execution and validation of the test procedures for Q&A testing with live equipment in the terminal, testing the equipment as a standalone project and with commissioned equipment, IT integrated, TOS, GOS, M2M (BMS, TLS, ACL, etc) and other terminal systems to prepare the terminal to handover to Operations and for new releases.

The tests must be aligned with APMT automation approach and terminal operational requirements as well as develop and deploy APMT TM2 terminal specific processes, interfaces and applications.

The Quality Manager will be responsible of:

    • Maintain team of Q&A Testing for terminal operations. Closely working in association with Interface, M&R, IT and Operations teams.
    • Ensure that configured and commissioned IT systems, Interface, automation control systems meet specified requirements per scope of supply and operational procedures set forth in the established test procedure and agreements.
    • Create scenarios to testing of system & automation is integration. Insure test output meets the intended operational function before handover to TerminalOperations. Management documentation of testing scenarios and all corrective actions for “failures” occurred during testing.
    • Create Risk Assessment and progressive schedule with project tracking plans to identify work and/or activities that require a Work Plan and prepare said schedule document.
    • Responsible to coordinate with M&R, Interface, IT and Operations team the test procedures for new releases. This is in regards to TOS, GOS, M2M(BMS, TLS, ACL, etc), and other terminal systems integrated and using the live equipment.
    • Establish testing of Automation Components, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and lead the resolution process. Develop, review, and implement corrective action plans to address systemic issues within the TM2 organization.
    • The Quality Manager will have a closely work with Interface, IT and Operations teams for guiding & tracking the issues between disciplines.

Operations Planner (Yard & Vessel) (TERMINAL II) – Tangier

Poste:

  • The operations planner is responsible to ensure a rigorous and efficient planning of vessel or yard activities to enable the achievement of productivity targets.
  • During operations, the planner supports in providing alternative plans in case of deviation to ensure productivity and capacity targets are safely met.
  • The position is responsible for an efficient use of the Terminal Operating System using established standards and best practices.
  • An operations planner can be assigned either to vessel planning or to yard planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Vessel Planning:

  • Assume responsibility for the entire Cargo Control Process.
  • Process various vessel related EDIs and follow up on their timely submission as applicable.
  • Ensure that the load-lists are finalized in time prior to the vessel ETA. Clarify issues with the shipping lines to mitigate disputes.
  • Interact closely with the shipping lines regarding additional changes after set cut-off time has passed.
  • Ensure a timely delivery of Terminal Report per vessel call, and prepare pre billing file.
  • Ensure close collaboration with the relevant counter parts at Liner Operations Cluster (LOC) and the Global Stowage Planners.
  • Investigate and document service failures, and report them to the appropriate parties.
  • Respond to inquiries related to Terminal Departure Reports for vessels no longer at berth.
  • Responsible for providing vessel and shipping agents with information about vessel load and discharge processes.
  • Maintain ownership of the vessels under your control and assist if planning disturbances occur during vessel call.
  • Ensure efficient and highly productive planning as per established standard with due consideration to the vessel stability and safety under load and discharge.
  • Prepares and communicates vessel load plans and vessel work plans.
  • Keeps the quay-operation and vessel administration systems updated.
  • Controls the execution of the vessel operation plan.
  • Checks with berthing coordinator for reasonable berthing position for fast turn-around of tractors during vessel operations.

  • Provide alternative plan in case of deviation /exception during execution to ensure with the aim of adhering to the yard strategy and established standards.
  • Work closely with the yard strategist and other planning staff to ensure plans are coordinated and provide best possible performance to the operations as a whole.
  • Manage continuous process of yard integrity and ensure yard inventory between the TOS and the ARMG block management system remains on par.
  • Responsible daily for ensuring that proper plan is set for the yard operation to run in a manner that achieves maximum productivity and efficiency, with 100% system integrity as it relates to equipment location.
  • Reduce unproductive moves to the bear minimum required.
  • Monitor and fine-tune the terminal operating system to ensure that yard planning is satisfactory and meets the strategy requirements.
  • Report on a weekly basis on the status of production, yard density, equipment utilization and strategy/allocation changes.

Process Controller – APM TERMINALS MEDPORT TANGIER – Tangier

Poste:

The purpose of the position is twofold:

  • During the pre-go live period:
    • actively support all activities around the testing and fine-tuning of the TOS,
    • Post proper training, actively participate in establishing dispatching processes as well as training/coaching of rest of PCOs.
  • At and after go live:
    • monitor live operations to meet operational needs & be a sparring partner to IT and Technical department in fine-tuning automated equipment settings.

Prior Go-live (Project Phase):

  • Carry out testing activities and contribute to operational configuration of the TOS and CHE interfaces in collaboration with the planning manager.
  • Follow up on failed tests diligent resolution.
  • Participate in the parameters setting and deployment of the TOS optimization module Primeroute.
  • Actively support the TOS emulation exercise as well as all related activities.
  • Act as bridge between IT/Automation system and operational execution.

  • Perform root cause analysis on operational failures including systems and take ownership of the follow up process through resolution.
  • Collaborate with other functions in the Integrated Operations Center for diligent resolution of exceptions and process improvements.

Lashing Foremen – MEDPORT TANGIER (TM2) – Tangier

Poste:

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all lashing equipment necessary to work vessel is ready prior to beginning cargo operations, and stored safely after completion of Operations.
  • Ensure on board lashing/unlashing operations are carried out in a good time, according to plan and in a safe manner and in accordance with Vessel’s lashing manual.
  • Ensure high level of preparation and attention to the lashing platform preparation during the start and the end of operation of each DSTS.
  • Ensure optimum deployment of lashers in the lashing platform.
  • Maintain Gondolas and OHF always ready for work.
  • Act as focal point to the terminal for all lashing and mooring issues. liaise with ships’ officers on exact lashing requirements and obtain signature on the APMT Med Port Lashing Completion Form prior to vessel sailing.
  • Maintain a safe working environment. Ensure lashers adhere to the Safety Policies and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times during operations.
  • Report any changes that will affect plan execution to relevant personnel so that cargo operations are not compromised. Immediately react to any change in the operation so that the lashers do not stand by for instruction.
  • Act as focal point for all OOGs and BB operations as well as for the all special handling on the terminal.
  • Ensure all lashing equipment including Gondola, safety cages are ready for use at any time.

  • Requires Officer maritime diploma with at least two years of navigation experience.
  • Previous experience in cargo lifting and securing.

Maintenance Technicians (Terminal II) – Tangier

Poste:

Under guidance of the shift engineer, this position provides technical skills in repairs works on all terminal equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensures that the maintenance, breakdown services and or remedial works of CHE are maintained in a cost-effective manner, with consideration of max reliability and availability of the equipment
  • Ensure that emergency work is followed up by reporting to Shift engineer.
  • To carry out maintenance repairs, Breakdowns, Inspections and monitoring for the Terminal Equipment
  • Assume additional responsibility for maintenance in the absence of Shift engineer.
  • Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of workshop facilities and all equipment
  • Submit routine and critical inspections and monitoring reports by ensuring accurate and updated information.
  • Ensure work in conformity with safety rules and regulations
  • Carry out those duties assigned by the Shift engineer.
  • Provides complete and accurate reports to Shift engineer.
  • Ability to learn and perform other related activities.

SAFETY

  • Understand and follow the company’s safety system
  • Protect one self and those around from unsafe acts.
  • Actively participate in contributing to zero accidents.
  • Report any unsafe acts.

Who we are looking for?

QUALIFICATION:

-Requires a BAC + two  and additional vocational/technical education – diploma in Electrical (preferred Electro mechanic / Automation Any additional training in PLC/Drives/Electrical fields in any heavy industries.
3-4 years relevant work experience in an industrial machinery environment – marine port terminal preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Must be able to replace/repair/adjust any major Electrical/Electronic parts such as Motors, Transformers, Drives, PLC…etc.
  • Able to interpret Electric, Electronic, PLC diagrams.
  • Familiarized with instrumentation and special tools.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of general supervisory principles is an advantage
  • Must have a cordial working relationship and effective communication skills with other staff
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment in order to set priorities

Ability:

  • Works shift working hours
  • Maintains high energy levels over long periods of time
  • Requires provisional verbal and written communications skills in English, Computer & Software skills in addition to interpersonal skills.
